As we prepare to welcome a new year, I find myself reflecting on the moments that shaped 2024 for Aerides Handmade Jewellery. It has been a year filled with creativity, hard work, and meaningful connections.All of them i hold quietly to myself.There are two I would like to share with you
First, an unexpected yet wonderful highlight: Aerides was mentioned in an article by CNN Travel. In their piece about Costa Navarino and Messinia, they spotlighted local gems in the area.
“The town of Pylos, which is visible from the hotels set along Navarino Bay, is steeped in Old World charm but also is home to the contemporary Aerides jewelry store, an artisan workshop where Katerina Karampela and Constantinos Diamandis sell their handmade pieces…”
I was humbled to see my shop highlighted on such a global platform.It felt surreal. It was a moment of pride. It reminded me how far my little shop in Pylos has come, fueled by my passion for Mycenaean-inspired jewelry and the support of visitors from around the world.
The second moment came in the form of a simple yet powerful Instagram message. A visitor wrote:
“Hi, I was in your store today and was inspired by your jewelry. Your words have given me a lot of courage to try everything out and keep going. Thank you very much, and I wish you much success.”
This message is about what i always aimed do,which is more than jewelry. It’s about sharing stories, sparking inspiration, and connecting with people in ways that go beyond the tangible.
These are two “clicks” in a year full of moments I will never forget—smiles, conversations, and milestones—that I carry with me as I step into 2025.. Some I keep for myself, but all of them remind me that a small local shop can dream—and those dreams can grow into something truly meaningful.
As 2025 approaches, I’m filled with gratitude and excitement for what’s ahead. Thank you to everyone who has added to the mosaic of this year, and I am endlessly grateful for it all.
